- 3 / 5By Michael GoughIf you were entering Staindrop from Raby Castle you could easily miss The Laurels, but it is well worth while turning round to enjoy this pleasant cafe. It is in the last building on the left before the village green opens out. We have never sat down to a full meal although the blackboard menu of home made dishes always looks tempting. We have always used it as a coffee and cake break in a journey and would thoroughly recommend it.
If it is sunny, as it was today, sit outside. The friendly staff were only too pleased to set up another table for us. Thank you.June 23, 2016
